We have 2 pieces of news for Jawbone fans. A good one and a bad one. Starting with the first one, the long-awaited release of Up3 takes place in a matter of days. Namely – April 20.
Fitness Tracker was announced at the end of 2014, but the release will take place just now.
As for the negatives, the novelty was originally marketed as waterproof. However, the final version of the gadget – as it became known – has no such protection. It will drown in a jiffy.
One should not expect a 10-meter dive (advertising promises). Now Up3 is not afraid of a spray only. Swimming with a bracelet on your wrist will not work.
It’s all the fault of manufacturing defect. Jawbone engineers discovered (too late) that some of the components can not cope with such a load.
Creators have failed to correct the problem promptly. Therefore, they decided to issue tracker “as it is”.
All other functions are alright. Up3 monitors sleep phases, the intensity of training, hydration levels, heart rate, and many other indicators.
The price is $180.
