Head-mounted display HTC Vive delayed until April 2016

Subject of VR is gaining momentum, but only a few helmets are finished. Not all announced devices are ready for the start of sales.

Most vividly illustrates the situation model HTC Vive. The company introduced a new product during the spring MWC 2015. It was assumed that deliveries will begin before the end of the year.

But nothing happened. The Taiwanese manufacturer has decided to postpone the introduction of device to the market. The release of the commercial version was moved to April 2016.

Should we wait for Vive? We should. The headset is interesting: there are 2 screens supporting a refresh rate of 90 frames per second. Resolution – 1200 x 1080 pixels.

The product is also equipped with a laser positioning sensor, gyroscope and accelerometers. These components allow tracking the movement of the head with surprising accuracy – up to a tenth of a degree.

If believe the representatives of HTC, the delay is caused by the desire to release a really high-quality thing. In addition, the sponsors want to provide the owners with the respective applications. For example, the exciting games.

Speaking of entertainment – legendary Valve (responsible for the shooter Half-Life and the Steam store) helps to create Vive. The good news for gamers.
