Troll and I: severe Scandinavian adventure

British studio Spiral House (Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare) has announced an episodic adventure game Troll and I for Pc, PS4 and Xbox One. The release of the first of four planned episodes of Troll and I was initially planned for the end of 2015.

Action of Troll and I will unfold somewhere in Scandinavia of 1950-s. Little boy Otto, as a result of the disaster, is forced to flee from his native village. Once on the brink of survival in the harsh northern climes, he finds an unexpected friend and ally in the face of real magic Troll. Together they will make journey full of dangers and mysteries, during which they will learn a lot about the world around them, and, of course, each other.

Gameplay of Troll and I will be tied to the interaction of the characters (provided both a single-player and co-op), but the developers decided not to limit themselves with this, and packed the description of their project with references to the role-playing elements, stealth, crafting, and even hunting animals for food.

The heroes of the game will resist, on the one hand, to the hunters of trolls, who dream to get a skin of ugly mug at any cost, and on the other – a variety of magical creatures, who dream to eat human meat… or troll meat. There will be a place in the game for smaller fellows of Troll, and many of them can boast of unusual supernatural powers that will a little facilitate planida for the protagonists of the game.

Publisher Maximum Games and the Spiral House studio announced that the action adventure Troll and I, which tells about the adventures of a reluctant young man and a mountain troll, who became friends, will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 24, 2017.

In the story, a young boy Otto is the only survivor after his village was attacked by a hunter obsessed with destroying the trolls. Once on the verge of death, Otto was surprised to actually detect a mythical Troll in the vicinity of their village, resembling Bob Marley, a long time hiding in his lair from his pursuers. Descended fated heroes will have to learn to trust each other, to get out of the battle with hunters and no less dangerous mystical creatures pursuing them victorious.

The player will have the opportunity to take control of any of the two characters, and the gameplay will be strikingly different: troll is mighty and destructive, while Otto is more agile and precise in his actions. Troll and I provides a co-operative mode, both in the network and the local (split screen) forms.
