Despite the fact that the Warhammer universe is incredibly colorful and stands out with its harsh brutality and absolute uncompromising, it can not boast of a large variety of games made on its basis. So fans of forever warring worlds like to complain about this omission. However, occasionally the game industry still throws them (and everyone else) nice gifts in the form of interesting announcements in this setting.
So, through a new release of the Finnish gaming magazine Pelaaja the announcement of first-person action Warhammer: The End Times – Vermintide. The new game is a co-op for four players, suspiciously similar to Left 4 Dead, and will be based not on fantasy Warhammer 40k, but on its less popular fantasy version.
The main opposing party will be Skavens (bipedal overgrown rats). They, like the zombies in the aforementioned game, will be randomly attack by hordes (each time in different ways), and will be composed of not only the usual trifle, but also much stronger individuals. Players will also get a choice of four characters-Imperials, which will differ from each other not only in appearance but also in ability. Two of them are already known: armed with pistols and daggers Witch Hunter, who does not agree with the fact that thieving Skavens have stolen his eyes and a mad old Pyromancer.
In Warhammer: The End Times – Vermintide you can collect weapons and auxiliary stuff on the streets of the city crowded by rats. Developers also promise to make the game as challenging as possible.
The game will be released in the second half of 2015 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and according to some data of characters, in Warhammer: The End Times – Vermintide will not be four, but five. For the development of the game is responsible Fatshark studio, known for multiplayer action game War of the Vikings.
