XYZprinting created a pocket 3D-scanner for $299

XYZprinting engineers decided to dispel the myth that the 3D-scanners are something bulky, complicated and expensive. The company introduced a budget pocket model.

This compact device costs only 299 US dollars. At its heart is the famous camera RealSense by the corporation Intel.

The release will take place next spring.

If we talk about the characteristics, they are pretty decent. See for yourself. The minimum volume of scanning is 10 cubic centimeters. Maximum – 2 cubic meters.

Furthermore, the device ensures accuracy at level of 1 mm. The speed of operation with relevant images is 30 frames per second.

Who is this handy miniature novelty XYZprinting for? Owners of 3D-printers who need high-quality three-dimensional models (but they can not make them in a professional editor).

Gadget operates in tandem with a proprietary application XYZscan. However, a large multipurpose software does not differ. The program supports only 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 8.1.
